Cannabis Terpenes Profiles… Put Some Flavor in Your Life!

Just over a decade ago, cannabis compounds such as cannabinoids other than THC, and terpenes, were a complete mystery to the general public, including cannabis consumers.

However, as the regulation process continues and the cannabis sector is more solidifies, more research has been done on the compounds and properties of cannabis. Nowadays, terms such as CBD are widely known and, inf act, many products with this cannabinoid are regularly sold; beauty products, drinks, e-liquids for vaping etc.

Terpenes are the new contenders when it comes to these products; we’ve known about their properties for a while, and their increasing use in industries that aren’t cannabis has been clear over the past few years.

For those that love gastronomy and live for experiencing simply the best when it comes to flavors, having access to cannabis aromas and flavors is almost a dream.

Cannabis Aromas and Flavors within Everyone’s Reach

There are few aromas and flavors that are quite as complex as cannabis aromas are; why? The answer lies in the wide range of terpenes found in cannabis, aromatic molecules that are present in most plants and fruit, although they’re found in larger numbers in cannabis plants.

That’s why people that enjoy cannabis flavors and bouquets (similar to artisanal beer enthusiasts) are having a great time – now, thanks to cannabis terpene profiles, two worlds can combine (beer and cannabis). This combination of worlds of flavor has been made possible thanks to research and investigation – after a few years of testing, Cali Terpenes has found the solution to adding cannabis terpenes to drinkshydrosoluble terpene formats, the easiest and most efficient way to aromatize drinks of all types.

2022 Baby, The Year of New Flavors

Thanks to this new tool, many artisanal beer companies have dared to begin launching their delicious cannabis flavor creations. In fact, last 4/20, many different brands made the most of the occasion to promote their creations; let’s have a look at some of the new beers available on the market:

  • Cripi by Alameda Beer Co, in collaboration with En Volá – this Hazy IPA has a Blackberry Kush terpene profile, a strain with an amazing heritage and known for its intensely sweet, delicious and earthy, fruity flavors. The combination of this profile with beer results in an earthy, tropical flavor with a light incensed hint to it; a great creation that was done alongside the team at En Volá, with a team that’s obsessed with producing the highest quality flavors.
  • Liquid Smoke by Locals Only Brewing Company: An IPÀ created alongside 420 Friends which contains Cali Terpenes’ Blackberry Kush terpenes. These expert brewers from Brasil found the winning formula after a few tests; the citric, tropical and spicy tones found in STRATA, ISAHO7, and MOSAID marry perfectly with Blackberry Kush’s terpene profile, fruity and spicy; the ideal accent that results in a soft based beer with a light bitter hint.
  • Critical APA by En Casa Temple: this slightly bitter, golden beer is a collaboration between the Temple Brewery and Santa Planta, and it contains Critical Terpenes’ Critical Jack terpenes. A delicious beer that’s had American hops added to give it a lemon and grapefruit hint that perfectly match Critical Jack’s terpene profile; citric, lemon, with hints of pine and a flowery aftertaste.
  • Plus, the week after 420 to finish April off with a bang, Hernan Castellani, SirHopper’s master Brewer, announced his new Hemp IPA. This new addition to the Hemp IPA family is called Aromax, which has intense kush flavors and aromas, characterized by its citric, resinous, spiced, herby and earthy tones.
