We were looking forward to Spannabis so much! After two years without being able to attend, we came back with a bang! Discover everything that happened this year at the Cali Terpenes stand and take a look at the summary at the end of the post.
Spannabis BCN 2022, an Awaited Cannabis Community Reunion
We were so excited to be a part of this amazing community again this year, and to put a face to many of the people that we’ve been talking to over the past two years, hugging our old friends again.
Amazing! That was the world we heard the most in regards to attendance this year. We were all expecting a great reunion, but nobody was expecting the huge amount of cannabis lovers that came that weekend, despite the weather not being the best.
You could definitely feel the excitement in the air at Spannabis – not only did people come from all around the world, they received the entire event with open arms and an excited attitude.
An Aromatic Spectacle at the Cali Terpenes Stand
Both the audience and professionals that came to our stand enjoyed an intense and aromatic show, tasting different terpenes in different formats and products.
On the one hand, we have our Terps Station Terpenes with cool vaporizers which allows to test our 47 strains of terpene profiles in liquid format. It’s definitely the best way to properly try all of the flavors and tones offered by terpene profiles in different products.
Right beside that stand, people were testing our terpene e-liquids which were quite a pleasant surprise even for smokers.
One of our brand new stands this year was a delicious catering stand with terpenes prepared by our beloved Wake and Bakery. This bakery is a pioneer in Barcelona when it comes to the use and sale of desserts made using our terpenes (cannabis aromas), so you can imagine the amazing quality for yourself.
Some of our edible products (cannabinoid free) that we had on offer there were:
- Blackberry Kush and Jamaican Dream flavored cookies; we’re not going to mention the enormous amount of delicious cookies that you guys ate (you’d think we were crazy) but we can definitely guarantee that all of these cookies were devoured and enjoyed – it was well worth the effort put in by our amazing baker! It was amazing to see people coming back with friends to enjoy the experience all over again.
- Chocolate truffles with Orange Turbo terpenes; even though we didn’t have enough for everyone, we spread them across the days and these delicious chocolates with an intense Orange Turbo flavor really won everyone over.
- Cream beignets with Amnesia terpenes; can we petition to include these delicious treats as a diet food? This is one of Wake and Bakery’s creations that was most popular; it’s a delicious explosion of cream with an intense Amnesia flavor that melts in your mouth with each and every bite.
- Terpene chocolate bars; some of our amazing collaborators, customers and close friends were able to come away with a present that was almost too good to eat; beautiful, colorful bars of chocolate available in delicious flavors. We created two kinds for the occasion: white chocolate with Amnesia terpenes and dark chocolate with OG Kush terpenes.
In the “outdoor” section at Spannabis, there were amazing concerts all day and stands such as Canna Ice, which had an ice cream menu with 4 different flavors (AK 47, Orange Turbo, Gelato and Gipsy Haze) made using our terpenes.
We also had a couple of surprises in drink format:
- Spherified Cocktails with Terpenes, or as our friends over at En Volá called it, the grape of the gods. Some fortunate people were able to try these spherified vodka terpene cocktails; it’s quite a hard experience to describe – they left Pescaomarino speechless!
- Cannabis flavored soda shots; did you know that with just one drop you can provide flavor and aroma to 1L of water? We spent a while serving up rounds of cannabis flavored shots – the reactions were priceless (we promise to record them next time!).
As a final surprise, we got some deliciously cold artesenal Oil Hunters beer, which was given out much to the delight of the attendees, who enjoyed its kush flavor.
Terps Spray – Spannabis 2022 Best Product Award Winner
Every year, on the last day of the event, the Spannabis Awards are handed out, voted on by professionals in the sector. Among other categories, we can find those of the best growing product, the best paraphernalia, the best vape, hemp etc.
Much to our excitement, Terps Spray received the prize for best product at Spannabis 2022 in the post-harvest category.
This simply proves the success this range has had since launch and pushes us to keep innovating and offering the absolute best.
En Volá Tasting
Part of the fantastic team at En Volá travelled to Barcelona for the Spannabis event, submerging themselves in the cannabis culture surrounding this event. As well as taking a tour through our stand, we also had a massive tasting experience.
We had an entire selection of edibles prepped by Wake and Bakery, as well as spherified cocktails, shots of water with a hint of something special, and a delicious Sativa by Eva Seeds.
